Sustainable Systems Week 6
This week’s class was about compiling all the data we’d collected and presenting it in a cohesive and coherent manner. We had collected around 384 responses on our survey form overall, so sorting them was no easy task. We sorted them according to group member and location, and allotted slides in that order. Here are the slides I made:
Here is our complete presentation:
Through the presentation, I understood how to present a lot of data in a simplified way. I also used Google Slides for the first time instead of Microsoft Powerpoint, and it helped me and my group work on the same document simultaneously, thus making it very efficient. We were all just a call away and gave each other notes and advice live as everyone worked. This was very new and fun because usually people have to wait for someone to send powerpoint slides to them and then edit them again together to make it look like a single presentation. Here the theme was selected beforehand, and this made everything much easier. Also, I could import statistic graphs directly from my Google Forms/Sheets, so that was a great thing too. I learnt how to work around a group and complete things together on time.I did not know how much more of an impact a pie chart could make in a presentation. I really started to get the hang of data and how to analyse it to draw up a conclusion.
In the end of the class, we concluded the main problems Mumbai faces in terms of our SDG topic and started looking at things on a macro level:
- Lack of awareness
- Lack of Infrastructure
